Nice article

 Very nice atrticle Charlie! Clear narative and great pictures to that make everything clear. It actually speaks to a project I have been considering. 

I think this makes a good "example" for others to use as a gude for submissions!

Atlas GP7 DCC conversion

I did the same type of Atlas GP7 conversion to DCC/Sound with a Digitrax KO165 and a sound bug.  The decoder(s) worked fine, however the locomotive shell is very fragile.  I broke the tabs on one locomotive shell and the and hand rails on another. 

Decoder Pro had trouble recognizing two decoders, but I was able to mannually program the CVs through Decoder Pro.

What can I say?  I'm all thumbs!!!
