Test the waters?

My internet connection, as are many other online according to web posting on MRH, is extremely slow and streaming is out of the ream of possibility. What other choices will readers have to preview the video prior to setting up a download overnight or going to the local library or McDonalds? I simply find it too frustrating and time consuming to browse and attempt to watch any of the offerings and would rather work on a few feet of track, build a kit, or read and post the latest attempts. If TMTV was free would I be interested? I wonder. Neil Erickson Hilo, HI Umauma Railway

Choices

There's a TrainMasters YouTube channel, and all previews will eventually be loaded up there. Can you play YouTube videos? Their player plus their infrastructure is about the best there is, so if anything will allow you to get something to play, YouTube should be it.

YouTube

Our 3G wireless access is quite slow but unlimited. With patience we can set up a YouTube download and come back to it later. I was hoping that DVD versions of the broadcasts might be available to rent or buy (ala NetFlix or Redbox). A preview or trailer would help decide what would be right for my current interest/project. I realize that there are accounted expenses with producing the programs and would be happy to subscribe to such a service - even it it include commercials to lower costs. On the bright side, MRH posts and monthly mag is easy on an iPad. Thank you! At some point I hope that we will be able to upload photos from this platform as well. This time of the year is cooler and often drier outdoors so my thoughts turn to the garden line .. Wrong place to post 1:20.3? Neil Erickson Umauma Railway, Hawaii
