Perfect timming as I have 6 HOn3 refer Kits to build and paint

I couldn't have asked for a better article at this time. I have 6 refers to build for my HOn3 Rio Grande Southern RR over the next month or more as time allows and this is a great step by step for helping me do just that.

Articles like this are great instruction additions in helping us build proto type Models so keep them coming.

Painting& decaling resin car

A very informative article. Well written with photographs to help understand and follow the directions. Just in time for me as I am now starting to do this to several cars.

Great article, love the step

Great article, love the step by step, and the great photos. I have recently acquired several resin kits and your article will be fantastically helpful. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks

Hi guys

Kinda worked Ok but the weathering didn't come out the way I wanted it to, but hey it's all a learning experience, it's a bit heavier than I wanted but you only learn by having a go and I haven't weathered that many cars and am still learning different techniques.   What I am going to miss most of all is Floquil, I have tried a couple of other brands but no matter what I do I can't seem to make Acrylics work for me.   To set in my ways I guess and the disappointing part is that whilst most of my friends in the US have switched to Scalecoat II for plastics I can't get it here in Australia as no one ships it in.

Have also tried Tru Color but that didn't seem to work out on the metal of a brass loco that I was painting, simply peeled off after a while.   I don't think the primer that I used was up to it, deviated from the article and didn't use my normal Rustoleum primer shoulda known better.

Rob.
