Top 5 articles each are 4.5 yet overall issue is 4.7. How can that be?

Each item gets its own rating

That's because each item gets its own rating. The issue overall is a rating people give separate from all the other ratings, it's NOT an aggregate of the individual articles. You've heard the sum of the whole can be greater than the sum of the parts? Well it seems to be true in this case.

It actually happens quite a bit - the issue overall rating will outdo the best article rating by 0.1 or 0.2.

Hmmmm..., wasn't aware there is an issue rating. Have been clicking only the Reader Feedback buttons on the articles.

Would be interesting ...

... to see the actual number of folks who rate things ... I expect it is quite low.

You can see the count.

You can see the counts on each articles page in the forum.

ah, yes ...

... I had seen it before, and then it disappeared for a while (or perhaps I just forgot where to look) ... seems it is back again.  Thanks Bill.

Not only are the numbers "few"; but I suspect it is the same folks who are providing them every month ... "Good on ya!" for taking the time to let the staff know what you like/dislike.

I certainly don't rate every article, as I only read a few of them.  Personally, a "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" (i.e., "like/dislike") would be enough for me.

The New MRH Logo is a great Idea

I really think The new "MRH" Logo is over due and glad you finally implemented the new logo to the front of the monthly E-Magazine and think it should be added to the Web site Forums also as "MRH" forums.

New Look to MRH

I'm looking forward to the reflowable format for better reading.

Will this also let me change from vertical to horizontal orientation?

The PDFS format on my iPad in vertical orientation is great, but sometimes I want to switch to horizontal orientation  for photos, etc.

Yes, you will be able to freely switch between portrait and landscape on your device and the page will reflow accordingly. We have this now in our eBooks and reading an eBook on an iPad in iBooks is sheer pleasure. The higher res 300 DPI images allow zooming in and studying photo details with double-tap of the photo and then pinch-zooming around the image.

We find once you try the reflowable ePub in iBooks, the PDF format feels "dated" in its cababilities. For those on a PC, you can read ePubs in Chrome using Readium, for example, and the experience is similar.

The new look looks nice, but

The new look looks nice, but I have had no issues with the old one. I also understand the difference in media vehicles as well but I generally just access via my home computer a mac, and on rare occasions my IPhone 5.

I think it is nice that you folks are doing everything you can to make an interactive magazine easy to use.

Nearly forgot to add the comments about the ebooks on real railroads and railway express, it looks like you now have two I will be interested in. Your others were a bit outside my area of interest and era.
