Good ideas

In addition to the online discussion there is also the chance to get some hands on with other folks by joining a club and interacting with those other folks. Even if you are helping some one else do something you can still learn from teaching others.

You can't teach someone who isn't ready to learn.

I agree wholeheartedly with the column, but I also know that some people won't benefit from other's experience, they have to experience it themselves. Sometimes, you just have to make the mistakes yourself, to learn from them.
