Hi all,

After spending the holidays doing benchwork construction all day (well almost ), i have reached a point where the benchwork is almost finished. I need to fasten the plywood subroadbed to the risers and then off to laying some track. I have spend a lot of time in making and positioning the risers correctly so that all the pieces align correctly and the slopes are to spec.

The benchwork and legs are all coated with a sealant following good advice from Joe.

Here is the urban area (downtown Pasadena, Colorado boulevard). Notice that the front benchwork is on wheels so that it can be pulled out of the way for accessing the track on the rear tables.

Nice Work on the LA, Pasadena & Cucamonga RR

Always glad to see your work both here and at TrainBoard (where I'm known as doorgunnerjgs). You seem to have found or created some unique ways of construction that I really admire. And I only wish my modeling skills were on a par with yours. Keep up the good work!

John and Deemiorgos thank you

John and Deemiorgos thank you both for your very kind and motivating words!

The inspiration on pocket holes and the plywood construction came from these forums .

As we speak, "I see a baaackdrop riiising...and i seee some painting on the waay...", the backdrop is in place, with all joints puttied/sanded and hopefully tomorrow i ll get some paint on.
