For those of you who have seen any of the Siskiyou Line video series, then you know about the "newbie" we used in the dialog sequences, Rick McMurry.

If you've ever wondered what Rick does in the real world, here's his LinkedIn profile:

I have some great bloopers and out-takes from the series, I'll go dig them out and post them here. But I also thought you might enjoy seeing what Rick does in real life. Between jobs he was on salary with Model Trains Video back when we started the videos - so we fingered him to play the part of a hobby newbie.

Our acting won't win any awards, but I do think we got better (at least a little) in the later parts of the series.

I think he needs to get Tania(sp?) to take a decent portrait shot of him....

Rick has a bad day - from Siskiyou Line series volume 3

Promised out-takes ... first one (requires Flash):

NOTE: Internet Explorer may complain about a security certificate - just ignore it (it's bogus).

Aha, another Model Trains Video product

A bloopers DVD. Ain't electronics terminology great? Real tongue twisters at time, huh.

(Been there, done that - I feel your pain)

Pretty neat

So he's not a train guy at all?  I assumed you guys used a script, but figured most of it was ad-libbed.
