I always like the tips

I always like the tips section as even if the particular tips do not seem to be of immediate use now, they often become useful later.

Compiled List?

I wonder if it would be commercially feasible to compile and group all the prior tips into one document. I also enjoy this feature in MRH but often when I need to use a tip I remember reading something about it but have to go search to find it.

I am sure Joe and his gang have plenty to do just putting out a monthly mag so this would be extra work for sure.  I can't speak for others but I'd be willing to shell out a few bucks for an "annual" or "best of" tips document.

Loved the tip on scale sand...never really thought of it before!

The tip on scale sand has ended up being a real thought trigger for me. I model in 1/4 inch, so it is not quite as difficult as HO and smaller scale friends have it, but I have noticed that some things just don't look right to the eye if they are reduced to actual scale. Textures, such the surface of a sand pile, even a stucco finish on a model building, are perfect examples of things that don't reduce to perfect scale...I have an open sand house project in my not-to-distant future, so the timing was good too. I ahd better start looking at things to see what looks good to the eye..Even in O scale 1/4 inch, actual sand to scale would end up looking pretty smooth, as it would in HO, and not 'look right'...
